The leading reference in psychology, Albert Bandura, passed away last Monday at his home in Stanford, California at the age of 95.

While his research was on general psychology, his works on social cognitive theory of human functioning and specially, his theory of self efficacy had become paramount on sport and exercise psychology, helping to explain behaviour change and performance situations.

He had a long and fruitful life, but his works will outlive him for many years.

He will be remembered.
